📡 Time-of-Flight (ToF) Sensor: The Technology Powering Smart Distance Measurement!

📖 HISTORY / ORIGIN

Time-of-Flight technology originated from radar and laser ranging systems used in aerospace and military applications. As optical and semiconductor technologies advanced, ToF sensors became smaller, faster, and more affordable, leading to widespread adoption in smartphones, autonomous vehicles, drones, robotics, industrial automation, augmented reality (AR), and 3D imaging systems.

🔍 TYPES OF TIME-OF-FLIGHT SENSORS

Direct Time-of-Flight (dToF) Sensors

Indirect Time-of-Flight (iToF) Sensors
